Article 41 Foreigners who work in China shall obtain work permits and work-type residence permits in accordance with relevant regulations. No entities or individuals shall employ foreigners who have no work permits or work-type residence permits.

1. The applicant shall be at least 18 years of age, be in good health, have no criminal record, have a certain employer within the territory, and have the necessary professional skills or the appropriate knowledge level for his/her work

2. The applicant shall have bachelor or higher degree and 2 years full time related work experience after graduated, age under 60 years old.

Required documents from the applicant
• Passport ID page (including family if any)
• Resume (in English)
• Original bachelor diploma or above, which needs to be notarized and authenticated
• Original reference letter in English (issued by previous employer, including at least 2 years relevant working experience) (original one is required)  
• Original no criminal record certificate which needs to be notarized and authenticated.
• Original Medical report with words from doctor that you are physically fit to work in China (including spouse if any)  
• E- version of photo (35*45mm, color with white background) (including family if any)
• Original marriage certificate which need to be notarized and authenticated (if spouse will come together with the applicant)
• Original birth certificate which need to be notarized and authenticated (if kid will come together with the applicant)

• The Chinese labor contract 

Procedure

Before the applicant comes into China
1. Prepare the application documents, depends on applicant's preparation;
2. Apply for employment notification letter in China, 10~20 working days;
3. Apply for Z visa at Chinese Embassy out of China, depending on China consulate/embassy;After applicant comes to China with Z visa (During this period, the applicant must stay in China until the visa is done)
4. Apply for temporary residence registration form at local police station (within 24 hours upon arrival in China);
5. Medical Check-up in China, 4 working days;
6. Application for Working Permit in China, 10~15 working days;
7. Application for Residence Permit in China, 7 working days;

Notice: Passport will be kept in the immigration office for 7 working days excluding the submission day, please refrain from any international trip before residence permit issued.
